- Quietbeat receives only the times of your activity signals, never health numbers like step counts or heart rates.
- We don't track your location. If you turn on location sharing, we keep only your last known area and show it only inside an alert.
- We don't sell your data, show ads, or use tracking or analytics tools.
- Your contacts only hear from us after they agree, and they can opt out anytime.
- You can delete your account and your data from the app at any time.
1. Who we are
Quietbeat is provided by GO RICH MARKETING LLC, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at info@gorich.ae.
This policy covers the Quietbeat apps for iPhone, Apple Watch and Android, our website at quietbeat.gorich.systems, and the web pages we show to safety contacts.
2. Who this policy is for
- Members: people who use Quietbeat as their own safety net.
- Managers: people who set up Quietbeat for someone else with the Family plan.
- Contacts: people a member asks to be a safety contact. Contacts don't need the app.
- Website visitors.
3. What we collect
Account
The name you enter; an optional email address (confirmed with a one-time code); if you use Sign in with Apple, an identifier from Apple and the email address Apple shares with us (which may be a private relay address); and your time zone, language and country or region.
Your device
Device model, operating system and app version, a push token for notifications, and the state of permissions and settings that affect your safety net. For example: whether notifications, Health, Motion or Background App Refresh are allowed, whether Low Power Mode is on, whether an Apple Watch is paired, and on Android, usage access, exact alarms and battery optimization.
Life-signal pulses
Each pulse contains the type of signal and when it happened (for example “steps at 9:12 PM” or “phone unlocked at 8:03 AM”), your battery level, whether the phone is charging or in Low Power Mode, and your network type (Wi-Fi, mobile data or offline). Pulses never contain step counts, heart rates, sleep data or any other health values. Data from Apple Health (HealthKit) and Health Connect is read on your device only to find the time of your latest activity, and it never leaves your device.
Safety settings
Your check window, quiet hours, escalation timing, morning check time, and pause and trip details, including any trip note you write.
Optional: last known location
Only if you turn on location sharing. Depending on your choice, we receive your approximate area (rounded coordinates and a city name) or a precise location. We keep only the latest one, replace it each time, and keep no history. It is shown only to your accepted contacts inside an open check, and we delete it when you turn location sharing off.
Your contacts
The names, relationship, phone numbers and email addresses you enter for your contacts, their invitation status, their consent records (when they accepted, the IP address used, the wording they agreed to and the channels they chose) and their responses during a check.
Optional: address, access notes and medical card
If you add them: your address, access notes (for example, who has a key) and a medical card you write yourself, such as conditions, medications or allergies. We store them encrypted. Contacts see them only during an open check, and the medical card only if you turned on “Show in alerts”.
Checks and messages
When checks open and close, their stage, who responded and how (for example “Lisa is checking”), and delivery logs for the messages we send: channel, recipient, time, status and the provider's message ID.
Subscriptions
Your plan and its status, the renewal or expiry date, and transaction identifiers we receive from Apple or Google. We never receive your card or bank details.
Support
What you send us when you contact us.
When the app talks to our servers
Our servers process your IP address to deliver the service and to protect it from abuse, for example by limiting the number of requests. We don't use it to locate you.
Our website
Our website doesn't use cookies, analytics or trackers, and it doesn't load anything from other companies. Like any web server, ours keeps basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) to keep the site secure. If you close the language suggestion, your browser remembers that choice on your device; it isn't sent to us.
4. What we never do
- We don't sell or rent personal data, and we don't share it for advertising.
- We don't show ads, and our apps contain no third-party advertising, analytics or tracking tools.
- We don't track your location over time.
- We don't upload your address book. We only receive the contacts you choose to add.
- We don't use health data for advertising or share it, and raw health data never reaches our servers.
- We don't make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects based only on automated processing.
5. How we use your data
- To run your safety net: receive pulses, keep your timer running on our servers, open a check when signals stop, ask you first, alert and coordinate your contacts, and send the all-clear.
- To keep it healthy: show Safety net health and warn you if a signal or permission stops working.
- To learn your routine for smart checks (Plus), using only the times of your pulses.
- To communicate: send invitations and consent confirmations, test alerts you request, check emails with an I'm OK button if you added an email, and an optional weekly summary.
- To manage subscriptions and unlock the features of your plan.
- To help you when you contact support.
- To keep Quietbeat secure and reliable, including monitoring that our timer is running and preventing abuse.
- To comply with the law.
6. Legal bases (EEA and UK)
If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases under the GDPR and the UK GDPR:
- Contract: to provide Quietbeat to you as a member or manager (account, device, pulses, settings, checks, alerts and subscriptions).
- Consent: for optional location sharing; for your medical card and any other health information you choose to write (explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a) GDPR); for permissions you grant on your device; and for contacts agreeing to receive messages. You can withdraw consent at any time. This doesn't affect anything done before.
- Legitimate interests: to keep Quietbeat secure and reliable, prevent abuse, keep delivery logs and consent records that show what was sent and when, and send a contact the invitation you asked us to send. We balance these interests against your rights.
- Legal obligation: when the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
8. International transfers
Our servers are in the European Union. Our team works from the United Arab Emirates, and some providers (for example Apple or an SMS provider) may process data in the United States or elsewhere. When data leaves the EEA or the UK, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum, or rely on an adequacy decision.
9. How long we keep data
- Life-signal pulses: 60 days, to learn your routine.
- Last known location: until a newer one replaces it, or until you turn location sharing off.
- Checks and their timelines: 1 year.
- Message delivery logs: 1 year.
- Account, settings, contacts, address, access notes and medical card: until you delete them or your account.
- Contacts' consent records: while the contact is on your list.
- Support emails: up to 2 years after your last message.
- Website server logs: up to 30 days.
Deleting your account: when you delete your account in the app, we delete your account and all associated data from our live systems right away. Copies in our encrypted backups disappear within 30 days as the backups roll over. If the law requires us to keep something (for example, a record that a phone number opted out of text messages), we keep only that minimum.
10. How we protect data
- All connections are encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS).
- Sensitive fields, such as your address, access notes and medical card, are encrypted at rest.
- Access is strictly limited to authorized staff who need it.
- Sign-in tokens are kept in the iPhone Keychain or Android's encrypted storage.
- Every contact gets their own unique, hard-to-guess link.
- We limit request rates and monitor our systems.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect yours. If a breach affects your data, we'll notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
11. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, send it to you in a machine-readable format, or restrict or stop certain uses of it. You can withdraw any consent at any time.
EEA and UK
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (list of EU authorities) or, in the UK, to the Information Commissioner's Office. We'd be grateful for the chance to help first.
California and other US states
Under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to delete and correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We don't sell or share personal information as those laws define it, and we haven't in the past 12 months. We use sensitive personal information only to provide Quietbeat. We honor Global Privacy Control signals.
In the past 12 months we have collected these categories: identifiers (such as name, email, device identifiers and IP address); contact details of the people you add; commercial information (subscription status); internet or network activity (device and app information, logs); geolocation, only if you turn on location sharing; and sensitive personal information (health information you write in your medical card, and precise location if you choose it). The sources, purposes and recipients are described in sections 3, 5 and 7. You can use an authorized agent, and we'll verify requests before acting on them. Residents of other US states with privacy laws, such as Virginia, Colorado and Connecticut, have similar rights, and we honor them in the same way.
How to use your rights
Delete your account in the app (Settings › Account › Delete account), or email info@gorich.ae. We reply within one month (45 days for California requests). We may ask you to confirm the request from the app or from the email address on your account.
12. If you're someone's safety contact
A member gave us your name and phone number or email address so we could invite you. We use them only to send that invitation and, if you accept, to reach you about that member's checks on the channels you chose.
You can decline the invitation, and you can opt out at any time with the link in any message or by replying STOP to a text message. You can also email info@gorich.ae to see or delete your data. If you decline or opt out, we let the member know that you're no longer a contact.
13. Children
Quietbeat isn't meant for anyone under 16, as a member or as a contact. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you think a child has given us personal data, email us and we'll delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. The date at the top shows when this policy last changed.
