It notices the small signs of your day
Steps, your Apple Watch on your wrist, opening your phone. Quietbeat only notes when they happen.
Quietbeat notices the small signs of your day, like steps, your watch, or opening your phone. If they stop, it checks with you first, then gently lets the people you trust know.
How it works
Quietbeat works quietly in the background. There's nothing to remember and nothing to press.
Steps, your Apple Watch on your wrist, opening your phone. Quietbeat only notes when they happen.
When there's no sign of activity for longer than your check window, Quietbeat asks if you're okay. Tap I'm OK and no one else hears a thing.
If you don't answer, Quietbeat contacts the people you chose: your first contact, then everyone. They see what we saw and can tell each other who's checking.
No daily button
Daily check-in apps ask you to tap a button every day. Life gets in the way: a busy morning, a weekend away, a phone left on the charger. Quietbeat works the other way around.
Like to check in yourself? Tap I'm OK in the app, on the widget or on your Apple Watch, whenever you want.
Signals and privacy
Quietbeat looks for everyday signs that you're up and about. It only needs to know when they happened.
When you last walked. Never how far.
The time of the watch's latest heart reading shows it's being worn. We never see the reading.
Opening the app, tapping its widget or answering one of its notifications.
Walking, cycling or driving, as noticed by your phone's motion sensor.
The time of your latest unlock. Never which apps you use.
Plugging in or unplugging your charger. On iPhone, through an optional Shortcuts automation.
Stopping your morning alarm, through an optional Shortcuts automation.
Only if you turn on location. A sign of activity, never a trail of where you've been.
All our servers learn is something like “steps at 9:12 PM”.
The details are in our Privacy Policy.
For your contacts
Your contacts don't need the app. If Quietbeat ever needs them, they get a message with a link to a simple page.
No one gets alerts until they've accepted your invitation, and they can opt out anytime from any message.
When you were last active and your battery level. If you choose, also your last known area, your address and access notes, and a medical card.
I'm checking, They're okay or I called emergency services. Everyone can see who's on it.
As soon as you're confirmed okay, everyone hears the good news.
Made for real lives
Living alone is common. Having a little backup should feel easy.
Family is a flight away and friends are still new. Quietbeat keeps a quiet eye on ordinary days, so someone close would know if you needed them.
With Family, you can set up Quietbeat for your mom or dad from your own phone. They install it and agree, and their screen stays simple: a big I'm OK button and larger text. You see a calm one-line status, never private details.
Turn on a morning check. If Quietbeat hasn't seen you up and about by the time you choose, it checks with you, then your contacts. Quietbeat isn't a medical device and doesn't detect seizures or low blood sugar.
Set “If I'm not back by 6 PM”. If you haven't ended the trip by then, Quietbeat starts a check right away. Add a note, like where you parked.
In the US alone, there are 38.5 million one-person households, 29% of all households (US Census Bureau, 2024).
Calm by design
A safety net only helps if you trust it. Quietbeat works hard not to worry anyone without a real reason.
Before anyone else hears a thing, Quietbeat asks you, sends a reminder and gives you time to answer.
Checks never start during your quiet hours, like when you're asleep. They wait until your quiet hours end.
Traveling, or going into the hospital? Pause Quietbeat for up to 30 days.
Send your contacts a clearly labeled test, so everyone knows what a real alert looks like.
See which signals are coming through, with a gentle heads-up if one stops, for example when Low Power Mode is on.
Messages always say what we saw and when, so no one is left guessing.

FAQ
No. Quietbeat is a safety net that lets the people you choose know when something may be wrong. It doesn't call emergency services, and it can't guarantee that an alert arrives or that someone acts on it. In an emergency, always call your local emergency number.
No. Quietbeat notices everyday signs of activity on its own. If you like to check in yourself, there's an I'm OK button, a widget and an Apple Watch app, but you never have to use them.
It always asks you first and gives you time to answer. Checks wait until your quiet hours are over, you can pause Quietbeat when you travel, and Safety net health warns you early if a signal stops coming through.
The timer runs on our servers, not on your phone, so Quietbeat still notices when the signs stop. Your contacts see your last battery level, which helps them tell a flat battery from a real problem.
No. Location is off unless you turn it on. If you do, Quietbeat keeps only your last known area (the city or a precise spot, your choice), replaces it each time, and shows it only to your contacts, inside an alert.
Only times. Your phone checks when you last took steps or wore your Apple Watch and sends us the time, never the numbers. Step counts, heart rates and other health data stay on your phone.
No. They accept your invitation on a web page and choose how to be reached: email, text messages or voice calls. If Quietbeat ever needs them, a link opens a simple page with everything they need.
Yes, with the Family plan. You prepare everything from your phone and send an invite link. Your parent installs Quietbeat on their own phone and agrees to it. Quietbeat never monitors anyone without their knowledge.
Pause Quietbeat for up to 30 days, or use trip mode (“If I'm not back by…”) for a hike or a solo trip. While you're paused, no checks start and no one is contacted.
iPhone with iOS 17 or later (an Apple Watch with watchOS 10 or later adds an extra signal) and Android phones with Android 8.0 or later.
